About the Diet Generator
The Diet Generator builds customized feeding plans based on your reptile's species and life stage. It pulls from published husbandry research, veterinary references, and real-world keeper data to suggest foods that match your species' nutritional needs. The tool accounts for calcium-to-phosphorus ratios, toxicity levels, oxalate and goitrogen content, and life-stage-specific requirements. It flags foods that are unsafe for your species and highlights staple foods that should form the foundation of the diet. The result is a starting point — a curated list of foods that work well together for your specific reptile.
This generator is a guide, not a substitute for veterinary advice. Every reptile is an individual. Your bearded dragon might have different preferences, health needs, or digestive tolerances than the species average. Use this plan as a foundation, then customize based on what you observe: Does your reptile eat everything offered, or does it refuse certain foods? Are there any signs of digestive upset, weight loss, or behavioral changes? A vet-approved diet plan tailored to your specific animal always trumps a generic species recommendation. If your reptile has health issues, is underweight, or shows signs of metabolic bone disease, consult a reptile veterinarian before making major diet changes.
